Watch out for green slime falling from the sky because it's time to watch Saturday morning cartoons on the only network for you, Nickelodeon!
This is a compilation video I put together using footage of commercials and episodes from shows that played on Saturday mornings (from seven in the morning to one in the afternoon) on Nickelodeon in the mid 90's. It is based off schedules from the year 1995 for Saturday mornings on Nickelodeon, as well as a little bit of Sunday mornings and weekend afternoons mixed in. Certain shows (like Doug, Rugrats, and Salute Your Shorts to name a few) can't be used for copyright reasons. These shows were substituted with other great cartoons and shows that played on Nickelodeon around the same time. Think of it as a retro remix or a bootleg Saturday morning broadcast.
This is the twenty-third Saturday morning cartoon compilation video I've uploaded like this. This time, I'm taking a break from channel surfing and venturing into cable television for the first time (the other compilations were based on network television). Previously, I had written off the idea of doing a Nickelodeon compilation because I knew so many of their shows were owned by Viacom, a company pretty notorious for being strict with its copyrights (they in fact sued Youtube back in the day over copyright complaints). It pretty much means I can't use any Nick toons. I thought maybe Doug might be possible since Disney's Doug worked in my One Saturday Morning video but sadly no. However, I realized there were a lot more good shows than just Nick toons that Nickelodeon showed, and decided to go with them. I'll admit, as a kid, some of the shows (like The Alvin Show) on this line up were ones where I'd change the channel when they came on, but others (like The Adventures of Pete & Pete) were shows I'd always sit and watch. This is also the longest video I've done like this, and could have been longer had I started at six in the morning, but I thought the shows that were on at six and six thirty -- The Littl' Bits and Lassie -- were kind of a weak way to start the video, whereas Nick Arcade was definitely a stronger start (especially the episode I chose). Well, at any rate, I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed stitching it together.

This video is explicitly NOT made for children. The intended audience for this video (and others like it) are adults who are nostalgic for Saturday morning cartoons that they grew up with, and a cursory glance through the comments of this video (and others like it) will show that most the people watching it are adults.
